Materials

The vacuum chamber is great for degassing mold making silicon and some runnier resins.

What to Bring

Bring your silicon or resin, as well as anything you'll need to mix and pour the material like cups and stirring sticks. You'll also want a container that's 2-3x larger than the amount of material you're degassing.

Pro Tips
  • Degassing works best with materials with long pot lives
  • Short pot lives mean that your material will harden before it can properly degas
  • Draw a vacuum until your material bubbles up, and then let in air to collapse it
  • Commonly reserved at the same time as the Pressure Pot
