Description

This map will consist of a 3 major parts: The wood backdrop, the aluminum continents, and an array of digitally addressable multicolor LEDS mounted on the backside of the aluminum. The LEDs will illuminate when the corresponding region on the actual planet is facing the sun. This map will change throughout the day, and throughout the year. It will account for the tilt of the earth, and correctly depict the light and dark regions of planet Earth. In the future, the LEDs could be used to display other information, such as air quality, or precipitation levels.
